A dialogue that I had playing in my head for a while that I decided to put down on paper. During the translation process, it morphed a tad but still carries its original essence.
As much it is fun to play with dialogues like this, it doesn't always sit well with me. There is always that risk of a great idea coming out really corny on paper without precise, proper execution. I mean, who'd say stuff like that?
Sure, Ahnri was always a little off. He can get away with saying it...but he isn't particularly dramatic in his conversations. Maybe it's cuz I've been listening to Grove Addict's "Drift" during the process of drawing this that it came out more dramatic than it's supposed to.
I don't particularly like the side profiles or the hands in this thing. In fact, I don't like how this came out at all. BUT, it's just a quick brainstorm page. Nothing really serious. I just wanted to see what it'd be like outside of my head, and it has served its purpose well.

Whoa! it's not four horizontal panels!! (Sorry, I kid you.)
I love dialogue like this. It's a bit cliche, but it really pumps you up for what's to come. Plus, dialogue like this on paper loses a lot of its corniness compared to if it was actually spoken.

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
